Are you aware that Royal Palm Beach has one of the most prominent development programs for young referees in all of Florida? First, all new referees undergo on-field practical training by an experienced peer over and above the state certification requirements before they are assigned to games. In addition, under the leadership of Mo Degler and other key board members, this club was the first in the state to implement the Club Referee Training program, designed to help identify and develop young referee talent. Not only does our club benefit from a deep pool of capable referees through improved performance and retention, but our youth get the opportunities to learn the skills they will need to work higher-level games and tournaments, potentially being selected for the state referee academy where they can be trained to become national or international referees.
